Commitment description
(1) Morinaga Milk has long been engaged in research on breast milk and infant nutrition to ensure their growth and health. Based on this research and knowledge, we have been providing the Angel 110 hotline, a free childcare telephone consultation service for mothers, fathers and families struggling to raise children since 1975. In FY2020, the number of consultations reached 9,741 inquiries.
We consider the continued provision of the Angel 110 hotline as a specific action that supports the healthy growth of infants. Based on the results of FY2020, we aim to reach 110,000 inquiries by FY2030 over an 11 year period.
(2) In order to support the healthy growth of children, Morinaga Milk is developing a variety of programs that enable children to independently learn the importance of food, health, and nutrition. Specifically, we offer plant tours that allow children to experience the manufacturing process that pursues food safety, reliability and quality. In addition, we hold visiting lectures that raise knowledge and interest in food and health with the theme of milk and dairy products, which are familiar foods in our daily lives. We also sponsor and exhibit at KidZania, a theme park where children can learn about work through simulated work experiences while being in close contact with food.
As a specific action, we will continue to support the healthy growth of children by continuing this project while taking safety into consideration, including the use of online services, etc. during the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the results of FY2020, we aim for 900,000 participants to experience these activities by FY2030 over an 11 year period.
