Commitment description

Affirmation of the Government of Uganda's commitment to Improved nutrition status among children under five years, school-age children, adolescents, pregnant and lactating women and other vulnerable groups by 2025 as detailed in the Second Uganda Nutrition Action Plan (UNAP II); which is aligned to the country’s overarching development frameworks( Uganda Vision 2040, Third National Development Plan 2020/21- 2025/26 (NDP III), National Resistance Movement Party Manifesto 2020/21- 2025/26.

Funders Government of Uganda; support from Development Partners (EU-Delegation, UN agencies), UNAP II implementing Partners (USAID), Civil Society Organisations among others. Civil Society organisations include those under the SUN CSO Alliance eg Civil Society Alliance for Nutrition Uganda, Food Rights Alliance, CEFROTH, Civil Society Budget Advisory Group, Kigezi Food and Nutrition Consulting Limited, Right 2 Grow etc. Other Implementing Partners include International NGOs eg CARE International, World Vision, Action Against Hunger Project, USAID funded Projects; as well as Non UN Agencies eg USAID.
