Goal action plan
Establishment of a self-sustaining school lunch system
In order to establish a system, management, and human resources capable of operating independent school lunches in their own country, we will identify the current situation, discover problems, and propose countermeasures, then implement the system in model schools in the country concerned and expand the system throughout the country. In order to achieve this goal, we will provide local school lunch staff with opportunities to work with Japanese registered dietitians and learn about food procurement, menu preparation, meal delivery and eating instructions, hygiene management, and nutrition education for children until dietitians are trained. In addition, local volunteers who support the school lunch program will be trained, and nutrition education for local residents will also be provided. Several local school lunch staff will be trained and dispatched to other schools.
