Goal action plan
WHO and UNICEF will co-lead the establishment of the Alliance. A six month workplan, including major milestones, will be agreed upon with interested partners. A mapping of the capabilities, skill sets and resources of partners at the global, regional and country levels will be conducted. Principles of engagement will be established. The mapping and principles will inform the identification of relevant partners for inclusion in the Alliance. Workstreams will be established, along with workplans for each workstream, to address priority areas of work. The structure and governance of the Alliance will be clearly defined. Eventually the Alliance will advocate for acceleration of anaemia action and support the implementation of the Global Action Plan.
