The process will be started with District Health Information System (DHIS) that collects data health information from Basic Health Units and feed into the provincial data bases. Infant Young Child Feeding and Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition indicators have been included in the grass root data collection by Lady Health Workers , on pilot project. The results so far are encouraging and positive. The indicators will be extended to the rest of the country. However, the nutrition sensitive indicators to be developed, further improved and integrated to the relevant sectors. In this regard a multisectoral nutrition information system development is in process that will help provide regular data regarding food security.
