Goal action plan
WFP has five decades of experience in using fortified foods to address malnutrition and enhancing governments and local private sector' capacities in this area. In the coming years, a focus will be on strengthening our food procurement footprint at global, regional and local level, as well as our support to local manufacturers.
At the same time, WFP will work with governments in at least 40 countries to enhance their standard setting, regulatory, enabling and enforcement capacities as well as leveraging public procurement and distribution channels to ensure that fortified food reaches the most vulnerable.
