Goal action plan
CARE supports positive infant and young child feed practices (IYCF) through multisectoral interventions that increase both supply and demand of diverse, nutritious foods. To this end, we will work with partners in health and nutrition to improve mothers', fathers', and other caregivers' understanding, knowledge, and adoption of positive IYCF behaviors to ensure children are fed diets that are adequately diverse and that they are fed often enough. We will also work with agriculture, market, and other food systems partners to increase local production of nutritious foods, which will increase access to and availability of a diverse supply of nutrient-rich foods, thus enabling families to provide adequate diets to children.
