Goal action plan

Grameen Euglena which is a joint venture company in Bangladesh between Euglena Co., Ltd and Grameen Agriculture Fundation leading by Prof Muhanmad Yunus, has about 25 agricultural field supervisors

At first, Field supervisors hold farmers meetings Mungbean production area in rural for motivating and guiding the rural farmers & make contract for our mungbean cultivation. 1 field supervisor contact about 300 farmers.

In the farmers meetings, farmers can get knowhow of Mungbean cultivation to increase productivity and quality.

In rural villages of Bangladesh, cash payment is the general method for agricultural product dealing. But, Grameen Euglena's (GE) provide the banking payment for rural farmers to avoid the security risk of carrying cash by employee of GE.

Also GE purchases products directly from farmers without middleman with better price compering with local market.

By the above systematic operation, GE collaborate with farmers and motivate to increase the engaging number of farmers.

After purchasing the Mungbean, GE sort and process in own factory. The bigger size of products is for export because it is suitable for the raw material of Moyashi Sprout in Japan, and the smaller size is for local consume because rural consumers likes smaller size taste for Dal curry. This dal will be provided for food supply to Rohingya refugee people through WFP.

By involving many farmers and increasing their income, refugee people can get much food supply from this business sustainably.
