Goal action plan

Key interventions have been lined up for implementation by Government and partners targeting women of childbearing age including:

Promotion of diversified diet, including locally available and affordable nutritious, fortified and biofortified foods.

Promotion of increased daily energy and protein intake to increase body mass index and reduce the risk of low-birth-weight infants in undernourished populations.

Promotion of continued and consistent use of iron and folic acid or other micronutrients supplements.

Integration of Family Planning /SRH in interventions for women of childbearing age.

Women's empowerment & income generation skills for women.

Promoting preconception and antenatal nutritional care in adolescents.

Nutrition education and counseling support in schools.

Promotion of completion of secondary education.
