The capacity of healthcare providers, including at maternity units, to provide breastfeeding counselling needs to be strengthened. One way will be to implement and scale up the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative. (currently there are 58 hospitals certified and the country will aim to reach 70 hospitals with the BFHI).
